This carefully planned journey takes you through some of Upper Egypt’s most important archaeological sites while allowing you to enjoy a relaxing cruise between destinations.
Your adventure begins in Luxor, one of Egypt’s greatest open-air museums. Explore the magnificent Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple, then discover the treasures of the West Bank, including the famous Valley of the Kings, where pharaohs were buried in elaborately decorated tombs. Depending on the itinerary and included visits, you may also explore the impressive Temple of Hatshepsut and see the monumental Colossi of Memnon.
As the cruise sails south toward Aswan, enjoy views of traditional villages, palm-lined riverbanks, agricultural landscapes, and the peaceful scenery of the Nile Valley. Life along the river has changed remarkably little in many areas, giving you an authentic glimpse of rural Egypt.
During the journey, visit important ancient sites along the Nile, including Edfu Temple, dedicated to the falcon-headed god Horus. Its impressive columns, reliefs, and well-preserved architecture provide a fascinating insight into ancient Egyptian religion and temple construction. Continue to Kom Ombo, a unique riverside temple dedicated to two different deities: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the Elder.
The cruise continues toward Aswan, a beautiful city known for its relaxed atmosphere and spectacular Nile scenery. Discover the Philae Temple, located on an island and dedicated primarily to the goddess Isis. The journey may also include the Aswan High Dam, an important modern engineering project that transformed Egypt’s relationship with the Nile.
